What could your move to Bangkok look like?

Start with the same researched budget used in our city guide, then choose an area to investigate. Your starting choices can continue into the paid workbook on this browser.

One adult; 12-month housing target. Add health, insurance, coworking, visas, flights and arrival costs. Rental furnishings and lease terms require a matching quote. Confirm licence, insurance and riding suitability before renting.

One adult, a private one-bedroom outside the city centre, 30 casual meals, groceries for the remaining meals, 8 café coffees and a rented small automatic motorbike for 400 km per month per 30 days. Gym and paid entertainment are optional.

02 · A place to investigate

On Nut · Soi 8

Compare the saved On Nut lead if your regular destinations connect well to this part of Sukhumvit.

Sample fieldwork task: Walk from the exact building entrance to the station and price the complete route, including transfers.

Tradeoff: A listing saying near BTS is not a measured door-to-door trip.

03 · Your next action

Choose an arrival month, then confirm temporary accommodation and its extension price. Arrange two viewings and test your normal daily route before signing.

The month organizes your checklist; it does not reprice housing or check visa and seasonal conditions. Areas are editorial investigation options, not inspected-property recommendations.

Take this starting point into a complete plan.

The $29 pack adds your own home quotes, signing and arrival calculations, local enquiry templates and a workbook you can save and export. Starting choices are stored on this browser and are available to continue for seven days. Clear site data to remove local copies. Existing workbook entries are preserved. Arrival month and budget ceiling transfer as notes, not a confirmed date or income.

A short list of actions, with a reason for each.

  1. Days 1–2 · Establish your base

Confirm your temporary address and extension price. Test mobile data and write down your normal work destination.

  2. Days 3–4 · Inspect two homes

Request written rent, deposit, bills and lease terms. Test the commute and bedroom noise; record what remains unconfirmed.

  3. Days 5–7 · Make a decision

Compare complete quotes and signing cash. If neither home meets your requirements, extend the search and update arrival costs.

An illustrative sequence, not a promise that you will secure a home in seven days. The paid pack provides the local guidance and editable tools to build your own plan.

Before you buy

Know what to expect.

What arrives after payment?

Your private purchase page opens the guide and workbook. We also email your access link. Download the ZIP for offline use; export a backup to move your work between browsers or devices.

Will my preview continue?

Yes, on the browser where you used it, with local storage enabled. Your purchase page offers Continue my preview plan. Starting choices are available for seven days; once saved in the workbook, they remain until you clear that browser’s storage. Existing workbook entries are preserved in their separate workspaces.

Are these confirmed rentals and final costs?

No. Rental leads are dated advertisements, not inspected or reserved homes. Budgets are one-adult starting references targeting a 12-month lease. Confirm the exact home, furnishings, availability and written terms; add your personal and arrival costs.

What is outside the pack?

Live inventory, automatic updates, booking, visa processing, personal consultation and account sync are not included. This is a dated, personal-use edition. The preview month does not establish an exact arrival date; its ceiling is not income.

What if I need help?

Your example decision

Home A has the lowest effective cost.

Set aside $1,300 to sign for Home A: one month of rent, the setup fee and refundable deposit. Bills and other arrival expenses are additional.

Example arrival-cash calculation

$1,300 to sign + $245 for seven temporary nights + $25 transfer + $75 setup supplies + $200 delay reserve = $1,845.

Illustrative inputs, not local quotes. Flights, visas, insurance, food and other personal costs remain additional. The paid workbook lets you replace the assumptions and tracks unresolved amounts.

Effective monthly cost = rent + bills + one-time fee ÷ stay length. Deposits remain separate because they may be returned. Cost is one part of choosing a home.

The Bangkok pack adds your own quotes, missing-term checks, a full budget, arrival costs and a plan you can save.

This small demo resets when you leave. The paid workbook saves your entries in your browser and lets you export a backup.

The free starting plan above includes a sample neighborhood task. The full pack adds 6 rental leads and the local research described in your purchase summary.
